The American Gold Eagle from the United States Mint is significant as it marks the first full year featuring the new Jennie Norris bald eagle design exclusively. In 2021, the release of the Gold Eagles was divided, with the original reverse design issued in the first half and the new Jennie Norris design introduced in the second half. In 2021, the American Gold Eagle coins transitioned from the original Miley Busiek design to Jennie Norris's new depiction starting in July. From 2022 onwards, only the new bald eagle design is used for these coins.

Each 1 oz American Gold Eagle Coins offered comes in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Individual coins are provided in protective flips, while multiples are available in plastic tubes of 20 coins or Monster Boxes of 500 coins, each box containing 25 tubes.

The obverse of each American Gold Eagle features the historic Liberty design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. First appearing on the $20 Gold Double Eagle coins until 1933, this design portrays Liberty in a full-length figure, walking forward with a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left, with the U.S. Capitol Building and sun rays in the background, surrounded by a ring of stars.

The reverse showcases the Jennie Norris design, now in its first full year of exclusive use. This design captures a detailed portrait of an American bald eagle in left-profile relief, highlighting the majestic features of America's national bird.
